About ICGET 2023

The International Conference on Global & Emerging Trends 2023 explores the theme ‘Visions of Tomorrow: Innovations, Technologies & Applications’. This conference provides a unique platform for researchers, professionals, and industry experts from the every fields to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences related to the latest innovations and emerging technologies that are transforming human society. Jointly organized by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM Alumni), University of Reading (Malaysia Campus), and Global Trends Academy, the conference will welcome delegates from across the globe.

Keynotes, presentations, and discussions will focus on a wide range of topics related to how innovations and applications based on technologies like AI, robotics, IoT, blockchain, renewable energy, and biotechnology, are inspiring transformations across various fields. Prof. Dr. Adrian D. Cheok (MOA)

Professor, Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), Nanjing, China

Everysense, Everywhere, Human Communication

Prof. Adrian David Cheok AM is Professor at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), Nanjing, China. He is Senior Member of the IEEE. In 2019, The Governor General of Australia, Representative of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II, has awarded Australia’s highest honour the Order of Australia to Adrian David Cheok for his contribution to international education and research.

He is Founder and Director of the Mixed Reality Lab, Singapore. Prof. Cheok was formerly Professor of Pervasive Computing, University of London, Professor and Executive Dean at Keio University, Graduate School of Media Design and Associate Professor in the National University of Singapore. He has previously worked in real-time systems, soft computing, and embedded computing in Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Japan. 

He has been working on research covering mixed reality, human-computer interfaces, wearable computers and ubiquitous computing, fuzzy systems, embedded systems, power electronics. At ICGET2023, Prof. Adrian will share his on-going research at his lab in China. He will share his research on alternative ubiquitous computing environment and space based on an integrated design of real and virtual worlds. It is definitely something to look forward to.

Futurist Chet W. Sisk

Dr. Emmanuel Essah

Associate Professor, University of Reading, United Kingdom

Harnessing Machine Learning for Efficient Energy Optimization

Dr. Emmanuel Essah is an Associate Professor and Head of Sustainable Energy, Environment and Engineering (SEEE) at University of Reading, United Kingdom. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Coast in 2015. His research interests include machine learning, renewable energy systems, and power systems. He has published extensively in international journals and conferences.

Dr. Essah is a member of the IEEE Power and Energy Society and the IEEE Signal Processing Society. He is also a registered professional engineer in Ghana.

At ICGET2023, Dr. Essah will be presenting a lead paper on the topic of “Machine Learning-based Energy Optimization Techniques for Renewable Energy Systems.” In this paper, he will discuss the use of machine learning techniques to optimize the performance of renewable energy systems. He will also discuss the challenges and opportunities of using machine learning in renewable energy systems.

Dr. Essah is a leading expert in the field of machine learning for renewable energy systems. His research has the potential to significantly improve the performance of renewable energy systems and make them more cost-effective.
